Gall transmission chains – the European standard
Gall chain – European standard (ISO) is made of steel but can also be made of stainless steel for use in the food industry. Gall chain (roller) can be made in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 rows, depending on the applications in which it is used.
The sizing of the gall chain in the European standard is from 04B-1 (the roller diameter is 4 mm and the pitch is 6 mm) continuing with 05B-1 (the roller diameter is 5 mm and the pitch is 8 mm) 06B-1, 08B-1, 10B-1 reaching 72B-1 (the roller diameter is 72.39 mm and the pitch is 88.9 mm).
Gall transmission chains – American standard (ANSI)
Gall chain – American standard is made of the highest quality steel and is used especially for heavy duty transmission. Gall chain (roller) can be made in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 rows, depending on the applications in which it is used.
Gall chain (roller) in the American standard starts from ASA 35 (roller diameter being 5.08 mm and pitch 9.525 mm) continuing with ASA 40 (roller diameter being 7.92 mm and pitch 12.7 mm) ASA 50, ASA 60, ASA 80 up to ASA 200 (roller diameter being 39.68 mm and pitch 63.5 mm). Gall chain - American standard can also be made of AISI304 stainless steel used in the food industry.
Transmission chain wheels (sprockets)
Sprockets – hub sprockets for transmission chains. Playing an important role in transmission applications, sprockets must be correctly selected mainly due to the direct connection to the Gall chain. The sprockets have a defined tooth geometry in the front and axial planes. The front profile of the sprocket is defined by the Gall chain. The sprockets are made of the same steel as the Gall chain (with rollers).
Hub sprockets
Because they have a pre-bored finish, the sprockets can be machined to your preference for keyed or other mounting. The sprocket material can be C43 or FE50.
Conical bushing sprockets
Mounting the wheels on the axle is quick and precise thanks to the tapered bushing. This reduces the time required to change the wheel.
Disc type sprockets
Hubless disc wheels can be mounted in smaller spaces and weigh less than hub sprockets.
Specially finished sprockets
Fully finished wheels, have induction hardened teeth and are equipped with a standard keyway.
Chain tensioners
The sprockets are equipped with bearings and are used in tensioning systems. The bearing bore is 16 mm.
